BAKUGO always kisses you when he gets back home from work—it’s his ritual, you know that. and you happily accept them without complaint. so he expects today will be the same, even when he sees your cellphone held up to your ear. after slipping out of his shoes and dropping his bag at the door, his feet automatically carry him to you at your place on the couch. he leans down to give you a quick peck but you turn your head away and hold up a finger to tell him to wait a moment. he frowns in dissatisfaction at your shameless rejection of his kiss as you stand up and walk down the hall to continue your phone call in the privacy of your bedroom. with a scoff, he makes his way to the kitchen to get dinner started. it’s several minutes later when he hears your footsteps approaching and feels your arms wrapping around his waist while he’s occupied at the stove. “hey. where’s my kiss?” you question. he knows it’s petty, but the words are spilling from his lips before he can stop them. “try again when i’m not busy.” you roll your eyes at his childish response, though, it was far from unexpected. “i was talking to my mom, katsuki.”
